8bit music
I recently found an old keygen on my computer. The music in it, oddly enough, was soulful and melodic, which is not typical for a size of 34Kb. It smelled like some kind of antiquity and it felt like it had opened Coca-Cola twenty years ago or found a dusty Dandy. It’s a pity that I never found this time, but after googling I found some pretty interesting sites:
1) Keygenmusic – Music from keygens, cracks, trainers, screensavers (the keygens themselves are not here)
2) Malobit – A little bit of everything
3)8bitpeoples – Music
4)Kap Bambino – Music
8-bit (aka Chiptune) is one of the subgenres of the lo-fi musical direction, using both in the arrangement and in the construction of the entire composition the sound or imitation of the sound of SID and SAP chips, known to us from the NES (Dendy), Gameboy, Sega game consoles, as well as home computers of the 80s era: Sinclair ZX Spectrum (Spectrum), Atari, Commodore 64, etc. d.
The most famous series of chips: General Instrument AY-3-8910 and Yamaha YM2149F, as well as the racially correct MOS Technology SID, originally from the Commodore 64, from which, in fact, the name came, and which to this day is the most popular of all chiptune generators.
